  2. Happy, Happy Day (or shall I say "month"?) to you! Not commenting for the purse giveaway, (although a Mama's Collection bag would certainly brighten my day), I've really just been meaning to wish you birthday happiness for some time. And now that I'm here, I have a question...I have a very favorite old sweater that I have worn a few years too many. It is very dear to my heart (was wearing it when hubby proposed!) and I can't bear the thought of just tossing it. Any ideas (and help?!) on what could become of it? I read a while ago that you made a beret out of one of your oldies but goodies...any chance I could get that pattern and/or help or guidance with something like that? There is no rush or time limit on this project...just would like to have something to wear from it by next November. Thank you, thank you. :)

  3. Kris! So good to hear from you! Hope things are well with you!
RE your sweater....Of course we can 'repurpose' it! Love doing things like that! A beret is a good use, I think...! Some make fav sweaters into pillows, and of course, bags!
You think about it and perhaps send it on with R when she comes at Thanksgiving...Once I see it, perhaps a 'vision' for it's next life will become clearer....
Your name now goes in the pot for the drawing! Yay!!!
    So excited......:D

  4. What a neat idea! I'm a novice seamstress, so when I met R, I was instantly impressed by her handmade bag and baby accessories. I'm really glad she and I have become friends! I shared your blog with my mom, and I think it does a good job of motivating/inspiring our creative sides!
    Happy creating!
    Ashley

What a good mix that is, huh?!

  19. I'll try this again. My comment did not get posted the first time. If anyone could take old things and make them new, it would be you. That's why you are the recipient of my cast-offs.
